HSCCQ began its existence in the late 60's as the Viva Car Club, then in the early 70's they changed the name to Holden Torana Car Club as the Viva had ceased production and the Torana took over as the sports car of the period.

Then in early 80's the Club's name changed to its current title of the Holden Sporting Car Club Of Queensland (Inc) and although our association with Holden dealers has diminished in the past few years our association with motorsport hasn't.

From it's inception the club was built by an association of people who enjoyed competing in club motorsport and socialising with others who enjoyed a common automotive theme - Holdens. Although we have ceased to be a Holden only club, we still have the original concept of the club of being a motorsport associated social club.
